I wanted to take a moment and recover before really going into my wave to Sakura Con, sorry for the delay.

My sales were the best they had ever been, selling out of over 7 prints, most of which were penguins. I was humbled and exceedingly pleased at the reception I received, as a non anime artist. I know that gaming fantasy/horror illustration has a cross over at such events, but it is NOT the primary interest there. And as such to hear nearly a continuous stream of compliments at a show where cute things or fanart is the primary product really means something to me.

Unfortunately the hours took a hefty toll on me having already been exhausted from weeks of contract work and one other convention (where my table had been literally a half minute walk away from where I was before). I was dizzy for about two days after the show, and my throat only now doesn't feel overly dry.

And finally it was nice to meet so many kind individuals around me in the alley - we had a good run of artists this time, and they were all fun people to chat with.

I am unsure if you will see me next year at this convention - I am contemplating a year off from conventions. But we'll see. It's not done til it's done.

Right now I am finishing up a book cover, a ccg card (it's drying right now), working on a large gaming book all full of awesome, an album cover, and large amounts of character design. Most of which is due within the next two weeks.... (gaming book is not, thankfully). Never mind my plotting for a big project inspired by the art journals...

Also, many of you know that life hasn't been particularly kind to the GF and I this year - but it's beginning to right itself finally. So thank you for your support over the last few months as we struggle to make ends meet and find our lil spot of happiness in a sea of "Omg what's happening this time?!"

So what all this means is that while new art is sorta hard to come by in my gallery at the moment, it'll be jam packed come summer . Good stuff is on the way.
