This is a bit of a step by step that I went through for Soul Stealers [link]

I'd have liked to show a bit more of how I did smaller details, but that's a broad topic. This encompassed heavily the mental process I go through with the give and take of a piece.

And for the sake of all that is somewhat holy - full view.

(EDIT: I will not be held responsible for any typos. I do these things at like 3am on a ton of caffiene..... they're just gonna happen :p)

I feel like I've seen this before...

Not all that are dice have six sides.

My dice collection, not counting duplicates: 212 dice
Probably on Gaia during one of my "tired of lurking" moments . I didn't give it as much exposure as I might usually give, but I try not to overexpose the commissions as much as the personal pieces.

Oh! Thanks so very much for sharing! It's very interesting to see how it was done; I have always loved the painterly effect and strong lighting. Thanks for sharing! :boogie:
I hope to do some more soon that may cover a bit more of the actual details, though that gets complicated.... we'll see *shrug*

Glad ya liked it! ^_^

You mean close-ups and explanations? @_@; Now, those are difficult. I found the explanation for the soul part pretty detailed.

I did! Thanks for sharing! :D
You posted the entire tutorial on gaia? XD Wow, most people don't do shit like that.

I most likely linked to it on the actual image or something when it went up, I don't recall strictly putting this up - but yeah - I enjoy sharing my methods at gaia. There are people who ask to learn from me there so it's not much of a chore.

On some future pieces I mean, I wouldn't mind doing some smaller tutorials based more on the shading and lighting and overall painting process. I wouldn't know where to begin though lol so we'll see....

I look forward to that! Smaller chunks of tutorials really sound good. He he he, good luck penguinchan! :petting:
