Artist's Comments
This is a several month old sketch, I dug it out Friday in the middle of Sakura Con and figured, "dude, I'm bored..... I gotta shade this thing". Sure enough, about 3pm saturday it was finished. I'd say it turned out fairly well, but in the end I'll let you all decide.
It was quite promotional too, people came back to see if I'd finished it  . Felt that was cool.So yeah, for those who don't know: Beholders are eye creatures, and quite nasty in the D&D games. Many a character have perished to the eye tyrants. I imagine many players have thrown dice at poor DM's for such events as well (go ahead and guess how I know this....). I may paint over it some day, I imagine it'd make a dandy print. Keep an eye on *Metryx the good sir should have a colored version up relatively soon, considering how much he loves defiling my images  And for the record? This was created using a 0.5 mechanical pencil, and a smidgen of 2H graphite. Not much though. |
